It is with great sadness that the family of Horace Williams, Sr., announces his passing after a brief illness, on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at the age of 83 years. Horace will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Clara and his children, Edward (Rose Ann), Betty (Brad) Octave, Michael (Phyllis), Horace, Jr. (Terri), Brenda (James), and Deborah (Kiley), His step-children; Carol (Walter) Simoneax, Loretta Grant, Jimmy, Russell (Janice), Danny (Angel), and Todd (Patricia) Gray. He also raised Nahola Zenon, Marlon McCray, and Adrian Landry. Horace will also be formally remembered by his thirty-nine grandchildren, sixty-two great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, his siblings; Georgiana Ware, Irma W. Jasmne, Doris (Ralph) Patten, Maurice, Jr., (Nancy), and Raymond (Cheryl) Williams, his aunt; Dorothy Walker, brothers-in-law; Edward Dumas and Ralph Patten, his godchildren; Doris Ann Patten and Adrian Landry, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at 9 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at The Church of Donaldsonville, 613 West 7th St., Donaldsonville until religious services at 11 Am, conducted by Pastor Matthew Bender, Officiating. Interment will follow in the Pearly Gate Memorial Park Cemetery.
Horace was preceded in death by his parents; Maurice and Virginia Williams; siblings; Earl Williams, Iola Dumas, Hattie Crawford, Odeal Costley, and Vernita Williams, Mother-in-law Beulah Williams, brothers-in-law; Sanders Crawford and Joseph Costley, Sr., and his step-son John Gray, Jr.Email obituary
