Willie Millien was born on February 11, 1948 to the parentage of the late Ernest Millien, Sr. and Della Randolph Millien. He transitioned to his heavenly home on August 20, 2018 at his residence in Donaldsonville. He was educated at St. Catherine Catholic School. Willie met a beautiful woman at work and decided within the first week that he would someday marry her. On March 7, 1969, Willie married “the love of his life,” Ethel Irving. He was a quiet, mild mannered, gentle man who loved to cook and travel with his wife. “Bae” as he was affectionately called by his wife and children was an awesome husband, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew and friend. He was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Smoke Bend by Rev. James Delaney on April 15, 1975. He served faithfully under Rev. Melvin Williams Sr. until his demise. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, as a Trackman. Willie retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 30 years of loyal service. He was also a member of the Railroad Maintenance Union. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Demby & Son Funeral Home. Visitation continues at 9:00 A.M. Monday, August 27, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Smoke Bend 35058 Hwy 1 North, Donaldsonville, LA until religious service at 11:00 A.M. conducted by Rev. Melvin Williams Sr. Interment in the church cemetery. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Ethel Irving Millien, Donaldsonville, LA, two sons and three daughters-in-law; David (Liz) Irving, Baton Rouge, LA and Michael (Denise) Irving, Chatsworth, CA, and Judy Irving, Donaldsonville, LA; 23 grandchildren; 3 of whom he reared: Charon Johnson, Termica Fields and Asha Joseph; a host of great grandchildren; two Godchildren; 1 sister, Marcelina R. Jones, Donaldsonville, LA; 4 sisters-in-law, Adeline Duverney, Beatrice Millien, Lois Millien, and Barbara Millien; one aunt, Rose Nicholas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Della Randolph Millien; a son Byron Irving; 2 sisters, his twin Wilma Millien and Della Riley; 4 brothers, Joseph Millien, Sr., Winfred Millien, Sr., Ernest Millien, Jr., and Julien Millien.
